  11. Byrial Jensen discovered a couple of off-by-one buffer overflow in the
  12. IMAP code of Mutt, a text-oriented mail reader supporting IMAP, MIME,
  13. GPG, PGP and threading.  This code is imported in the Balsa package.
  14. This problem could potentially allow a remote malicious IMAP server to
  15. cause a denial of service (crash) and possibly execute arbitrary code
  16. via a specially crafted mail folder.
  17. For the stable distribution (woody) this problem has been fixed in
  18. version 1.2.4-2.2.
  19. The old stable distribution (potato) does not seem to be affected by
  20. this problem.
  21. For the unstable distribution (sid) this problem will be fixed soon.
